We have made some general website updates today for various reasons, and this blog post will detail some of these changes.

All Purchaseable posts on this site have been archived, as there has only been two of them and both where converted to plugins and original purchasers got those plugins, we’ve decided to archive the old posts to clean up the code base a little as these where protected by the original snippets and Post Access Manager has come a long way since inception, rather than migrate to 2.0 we felt they served no purpose anymore.
Newsletter Archive
Starting with our road to 2.0 UUPD updates, we have started to archive newsletters so users can view them even if they are not signed up. You can see all the newsletters on the dedicated newsletter page https://reallyusefulplugins.com/newsletters/
Free Plugin Updaters
All plugin updaters have been updated to the latest 2.0 Alpha of UUPD and will be rolled out to the latest 2.0 final release unless there is a breaking change in addition to this, all updates are now handled by GitHub; there is now no updater domain needed, and this change has been in place since the launch of UUPD 1.0 this is quick easy and totally free to us.
Paid Plugin Updates
Our paid plugins, including our Lifetime offers, continue to be a mix of EDD, SureCart and proprietary license and update systems, and there is currently no change expected for this; all future releases are likely to be SureCart-based releases on this website.
Support Portal
The Support Portal in the dashboard now automatically opens a support ticket in our ThriveDesk installation to allow us to better manage your enquiries. This is also linked directly to our SureCart Tenant to allow operators to view orders, license and other details.
Plugin Information
RUP Changelogger has had a massive update this week, with new card and compact modes added and additional options to the shortcode. This website is running the latest alpha, and there is full backward compatibility.
Packing Slip for SureCart
This has been launched as a new product this week. It is a single lifetime licence for unlimited installations. I don’t expect to be adding many options to it, but this gives you any updates that are made to the plugin, as well as support for email delivery, subject to your emails being set up correctly. We recommend suremails
Roadmap and feature suggestions
I am still looking for a good solution for this. We have a few and are using Fluent Boards for it, but I am not 100% happy with how it has worked.
